Fishing Videos of Yellowstone National Park

These were filmed in 2010, before I got a professional video camera.

Tower Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH GALLATIN RIVER The Gallatin River in south central Montana is well known for its abundance of small to medium sized rainbow trout, convenient accessibility, ease of wading and scenic beauty. The 13" rainbow shown here was taken on a #12 soft hackle hares ear. Filmed on 08/27/10 near the Yellowstone National Park border.
Nez Perce Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH NEZ PERCE CREEK, YNP It is about a 2 mile hike by a maintained trail to reach the best fishing waters of Nez Perce Creek, a trail that you often must share with wild bison. During summer, trout from the warmer Firehole River commonly migrate into this stream. I found plenty of trout but catching them in the clear water proved a bit difficult.
Slough Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH SLOUGH CREEK, YNP The legendary Slough Creek of Yellowstone National Park is every bit as scenic and productive as it is reputed to be. I caught cutts up to 14.5 inches and a 16 inch rainbow. The rainbow didn't belong in Slough Creek but it did fit nicely in my frying pan.
Soda Butte Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH SODA BUTTE CREEK, YNP Soda Butte Creek in the NE quadrant of Yellowstone National Park is a favorite of many anglers for its abundant cutthroat trout. Grizzly bear activity prevented me from accessing some of the better spots, but the video gives a good view of the stream and surrounding scenic terrain.
Tower Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH TOWER CREEK, YNP Tower Creek is a small, tumbling freestone stream that enters the Yellowstone River in the NW corner of Yellowstone National Park. The action is generally fast for small brook trout and rainbow trout. It is near a campground and then goes meandering up away into more remote areas of the wilderness. A fun place to fish. Filmed on 08/25/10.
Winter Creek, Yellowstone National Park WATCH WINTER CREEK, YNP It is about a 2 mile hike by a maintained trail to reach the best fishing waters of Nez Perce Creek, a trail that you often must share with wild bison. During summer, trout from the warmer Firehole River migrate into the cooler waters of Nez Perce. I found a lot of trout here but they were not easy to catch.
