Trapper Valley WATCH PART 1, 14 DAY WILDERNESS TRIP First of 7 videos documenting my 14 day wilderness backpacking fishing trip in Wyoming's Wind River Wilderness. This features the ride in, the general scenery and several lakes that are not featured in the other videos.
Sauerkraut Lake WATCH SAUERKRAUT LAKES The second segment of my 14 day wilderness backpacking fishing trip in Wyoming's Wind River Wilderness. This features the 3 Sauerkraut lakes, all of which offer excellent fishing for tasty cutthroat trout mostly up to about 15 inches with larger specimens available. These fish really liked dry flies.
Lower Twin Lake WATCH TWIN LAKES This film shows the two Twin Lakes. Fishing here is very good for rainbow, golden and rainbow-golden hybrid trout up to 15 inches. We saw a couple goldens around 20" but were unable to catch them. The scenery here makes catching fish just an added bonus.
Summit Lake WATCH SUMMIT LAKE Summit Lake is near the convergence of several different trails. It is an amazingly beautiful alpine lake above treeline with excellent fishing for cutthroat up to 20".
Noname Lake Cutthroat WATCH NONAME LAKES Lower Noname Lake offers very fast fishing for cutthroats averaging 10"-12", while Upper Noname Lake has slower fishing but for larger fish. Both lakes are above treeline and surrounded by colorful wildflower meadows. Noname Canyon is just to the west of Upper Noname Lake.
Neil Lake WATCH NEIL LAKE Neil Lake offers fantastic dry fly fishing for cutthroats ranging from 10" to 15". This video shows a lot of the fish rising up to take the fly. It's a fun place to fish.
Gotfried Lake WATCH GOTFRIED LAKE This is the last of a 7 video series about a 14 day wilderness backpacking fishing trip into Wyoming's Wind River Mountain wilderness in July 2013. This video features Gotfried Lake which offers very good fishing for cutthroats up to 14".
Wind River Mountains WATCH 2010 ELKHART TRIP My first attempt at backpacking in Wyoming's Wind River Mountains, September 2010. This is out of the popular Elkhart Park trail head. Due to problems with my backpack I never reached my destination but got to see a lot of nice scenery and did catch a few trout.
